Dear Oxford: We Need Some Space

Dear Oxford:

We all know things haven't been altogether good. Sure, we've had our good times - we enjoyed the Bodleian together, the parks, the museums, the Fitz kids. We don't want to deny any of that. But let's face it: this relationship has been a rollercoaster. You're probably just as unhappy as we are with the way things have gone, if you're willing to take a good long look in the mirror and be honest with yourself. It's not that we don't like you, it's just that we think it might be best if we take some time apart - you know, to sort out our issues. It's more us than you. On Wednesday we're going to take our things and go. We hope we can still be friends. You'll always have a special place in our hearts, and who knows, maybe we'll be back someday...

Love,
Dave and Julia

p.s. - We wanted to tell you this directly before you heard it from someone else: we'd be lying if we said we didn't have another prospect in the works. So, for the record, we're going to give Tübingen a fling and see how things go.

Hey there,
All the best with the impending move. We'll be thinking of you and missing you both. Thanks for the encouragement in the last blog...something that I needed to hear and take to heart as our lives have seemed harder than usual as of late.
Much love,
Mary
