A Trip to Cheltenham

For Julia's birthday last week we took a drive to Cheltenham for the day. In its day Cheltenham competed with Bath as a posh spot for holiday-goers with its spas and race track. Today it's not quite as nice as we hear it once was, but then again we didn't make it to the some of the nicer private estates with their gardens. Here's some pics of our journey:

No road trip is complete without the obligatory junk food, eh?

We ate at one of our favorite UK restaurants, an Italian chain called Bella Italia (we also get vouchers from our supermarket, Tesco, as a reward to spend here, which helps).

Random fountain in the city. This picture was taken by a local who was not happy to be asked for the favor. Bloody brits!
