Broughton Castle on a Late Spring Afternoon
This afternoon we took advantage of a nice English afternoon to visit nearby Broughton Castle. It dates back originally to the 13th century, and the founder was one of the recipients of the Magna Carta. It is apparently rated as one of the top 20 most beautiful large private historic houses in England. We strolled around the grounds and had an extensive tour of the house. Our first visit to an English castle!
