31 Volumes of Pure Pleasure

A long fascination with the greatest theologian of the 20th century was brought to a new level this past week. In an act of pure gratuity, our church here in Knoxville (where Julia's dad serves as pastor) surprised me with a congratulatory gift of Karl Barth's Church Dogmatics - all 31 volumes in the brand new 2009 edition. This is something I have dreamed about acquiring for at least six years, so I was absolutely thrilled and humbled by their thoughtfulness and generosity. Here's the evidence:
